Goldman Sells Stake In Uber

Goldman Sachs sold its entire stake in Uber at the end of 2019. What does that tell you about the state of the company? Goldman has been an investor since 2011 and is probably one of the few investors that really knows this company inside and out.

Goldman had:

  • Access to management.

  • Access to the books.

  • And access to past and future strategies.

In fact, they had access to every financial data point available as they were vying to be the lead bank to handle the IPO. Instead they sell at the first opportunity they are legally permitted to do so.

Does Goldman have all the facts or is there a plan towards profitability to turn this around?
